‘Traces’- is a group exhibition, bringing together five artists, based at Blackhorse Lane Studios / BAGT. Presenting a variety of mediums - painting, sculpture, and printmaking, the exhibition traces back and examines the initial creative process. It focuses on the materials and techniques the artists’ use to transfer their ideas. The artists in this show come from different backgrounds and strands of art education. They each explore their own ideas. However, the exhibition diverts their regular lines of inquiries in order to look at the process as a main objective. Allowing a glance into the moment that is usually hidden under the layers of a finished work.
